On Writing--An Unknown Journey

Writing in English is like an unknown journey for me. Using limited vocabulary to express my thoughts, I have to use another way to think about what I’m going to say and how I’m going to tell the story. Sometimes I even found a deeper meaning which is hidden beneath the draft originally I have. Writing in English also means I need to translate something which is natural and right in my native language to a group of foreign readers. It’s full of excitement and magic.
Writing guides me to depart from old position and to forsake my complaints, if I want to record something valuable. It seems like have a dialog with myself and trying to heal the bitterness inside. I take the roles of a patient, audience, and a writer at the same time.

Ode to Strawberry Boston Pie

Distantly, your shy smiling grabbed my attention.
Sunny red blend with brightening white, you look so charming.
“Who is the pretty lady?” I whispered to myself.
“She came from Boston, a rational and historical city.”
Does your royalty, noble and peacefulness coming there?
Close my eyes, a sweet fragrance mixed berry, cream, and wheat floating my face.
Touching your soft and pure white cheek, I’m afraid to blemish your holiness.
I know my heart is belonging here forever.
Respectfully, I taste your tender soul.
Soft, little sticky, and juicy-berry touching enchanted my heart immediately.
Fresh and heavy cream made the strawberries so rich and smooth.
I wonder you are not a noble, you are an angel falling from the heaven.
Lady Strawberry Boston Pie, let’s stay here forever and ever.

Song Memory--The sun above Dark Clouds

The sun above Dark Clouds

This song was a Christian hymnal song.
It’s very simple and is a little bit like a children’s ballad.
When I felt so down and when I suffered from something,
I had no idea to read a heavy book and I would liked playing this song.
The music and the words of the song easily touched me. The tears fell down to moisten my withered heart.

It comforted me that He was always there ,
even I didn’t know what’s His perfect will on me.
I felt he whispered on me,
Do not be afraid—only believe.”( Mark5:36, Bible)

Whether you were living in the pretty mountains,
Or lying on the valley of the shadow of death

When you lifted up your head, you’ll find out
The Lord had prepared for us
The sun was above the dark clouds; He never changed.
Even the rain sprayed on your face
The sun was above the dark clouds; He never changed.
Ah…He never changed.
